Semla, Elvis & Winter

Let’s go back to February when I wroooomed up to north Sweden in just a few hours with affordable tickets. If I want to go there now, it’ll take 36 hours via Dubai and London for €1300 single trip. So glad I went there before all this happened, so I could see my beloved family because who knows when we will see each other again? Who knows if Elvis will still be alive? Internet, I love you more than ever.

My sister and I went out on town one day, I got some books and we went to BO’s to share a semla, drink coffee, look at people and laugh. Never forget when a friend’s mum showed up and said Oh, I heard you were here from far away and wanted to say hi. There’s no one I laugh with as much as with my sister.

Elvis, always checking out what’s going on in the kitchen. I guess he could eat himself dead. He’ll be 12 in a few months, stay alive forever please.

I almost forgot to show you – it was REAL winter. This is from the first morning when we were getting ready to go to Storforsen.

This picture is so much my mum. This is exactly how she looks to me. Loveliest person ever, has the patience of a saint, can be pretty brutal in all the cuteness that is her and her gentle personality.

Elvis… His face when he thinks he has to join for a car ride (he hates the car) and then the relief when I shout BYE ELVIS (bad hearing, except for food sound obvs).

Everyone fine? This is all so abstract, everyone around me seems healthy so far from what I heard. Germany extended the quarantine (we’re allowed to go for walks) until at least April 19. Very wise choice. I made a new buttcrack guy, Babban. Thanks so much for your support lately, it means the world to me. See you soon!

Lovely pictures as always! I am from the south of Sweden but your pics always makes me feel “at home”.
All well in Suburbia outside Paris! A few young people I know in Paris and London have caught the virus but only a very mild version, like “common” flu, and they have all recovered now. That I am very thankful for!
Weather is glorious albeit cold but who cares? Will probably do some gardening today, it’s criminal (according to the Swedish parental law, says my mum at least…) to stay inside on a beautiful day!
I started Adriene’s 30 day yoga program yesterday, it’s great! She is fantastic, calm, no “bring-your-nose-to-your-toes” nonsense but just straight up yoga with good breathing exercises! Thank you so much for the tip! I saw she’s doing all sorts of other videos too. Yoga for anxiety, chronic pain, grief…
Have a good day in Berlin, stay safe!

Happy to hear the people you know didn’t get too sick. People are in such pain, so unreal.
Yay, glad you like it! The Swede in me crinches when she calls us “darling” and says “I love you”, but I try to ignore it 😉 Happy weekend!

Here in the US there are different Stay In orders. My state, for now, is until the end of April, but others are end of May or mid-June. We can go for walks and essential tasks like food shopping and seeing to elderly relatives. So I can take my 92 year old mother groceries, thank goodness. Gardening, reading, yoga, walking, music. That’s how I keep (mostly) sane, plus calling or texting friends and my sister. Take care!

Cynthia, sounds like you deal with it in a sane way 🙂 Hope it stays that way and that everyone around you stays safe <3
