The other week we headed over to Gimme Gelato who Johan works for. I’d say it’s one of the greatest things he has designed and to see him and Ralle, the owner, work together is amazing. I’m a tiny bit envious of their relationship, simply because I’m not good at working together with other people. I want to do everything myself, a side I’m not particularly happy about. Working on it. Photoshoots are OK and I’ve been working on a few projects with Johan lately and it has also been OK. So, something is changing. Enough about me.

Johan is so good at designing his own letters.

A great thing for clients since they get unique logos.

One of my favourite gelato flavours is the dark chocolate one.

And the pistachio + stracciatella. I always think about my mum when I have stracciatella (Sandra, it’s like eating FINGERNAILS). Hmm… no.

The gelato is made in the shop and I love how Johan adds handmade drawings to the shop.

Handwritten signs.

Ralle started selling take away gelato now during the lockdown.

Been helping out with those signs a bit.

The gelato maestro Ralle himself. Great guy, great gelato. The shop is located in Charlottenburg on Wundtstrasse. Taking a car all the way through the city to go there has been one of the highlights during these times of staying home so much. Not that I notice too much of a difference, except for my walking app telling me I don’t walk enough (5km per day instead of 10-15km).
Hope you and yours are all well. Eat gelato!

April 30, 2020 at 6:42 amHallo Sandra from rainy Sydney. I was wondering why so many of the cafes and gelaterias have their signage in English? Warum nicht auf deutsch?

Hope you’re well 🙂
