Monday again, last week was such a strange week. I don’t know what happened but I just couldn’t focus. Hung out with a lot of friends, although I planned not to (well, it’s always like that – when I make a plan, I do the opposite). So, let’s have a look at the strange week 24. Monday started with a delivery from Amori coffee which Johan made the graphic design for last summer. Jimmy the Otter was delivered to Gimme Gelato’s carpenter and then we…
…went to Happy Baristas which I blogged about last week. My doctor asked me to take a blood test to see if I have enough medicine in my system. Went there in the afternoon and got my appointment at 9am the morning after. I love German health system, it’s expensive but you get what you pay for.
In the evening we took a walk with our friends Andrew and Tom and had a couple of beers.
On Tuesday I was at my drawing table the whole day until we went out to meet our friends for pizza. Johan’s hair…
Ioannis had a pizza with blood sausage. Late in the evening I hooked up with Peps and Fiona and Peps ended up spending the night and the next day at ours. It was so amazing to see her again.
We went to Tucker where Peps love to hang out.
Also we went to the park to play with a stick. Then bang it was Friday. We went for a few drinks with Andrew and Tom, I had cider on ice and it couldn’t be more summer.
Got a text from Allison so we headed over to where they were and later on to their place. It’s funny how all my friends live in the same neighbourhood. Charlie the dog on the couch, how cute is he?
On Saturday, a massive thunderstorm hit Berlin, Johan and I were mostly hanging out on the sofa sketching on a logo and then off to the hardware store in the heavy rain. It as a really good Saturday, just taking it easy in a way we almost never do. Yesterday I didn’t take any other picture than this; Johan cut my hair and it feels so good.
This week: I’m going to pretend it’s lockdown again. Covid-19 is not a dream, but the lockdown was a dream for an introvert like me. I read so many books, had great routines, ate well and so on. Apart from wearing a mask in the stores and public transport, it feels like Berlin is almost back to normal and I’m not ready for it yet.
