Week 33 through the phone

The Berlin heatwave, it feels like it’s never going to end? Getting a few days of breathing space now and then at least, making it more beareable.

Monday night was hot hot hot and we went to a pretty crappy Vietnamese restaurant on Warschauer Strasse, to sit there was beautiful and made up for the food.

The mornings are extra beautiful when the days are hot. Hanging out in the shade having coffee, acquaintances passing by to join you.

Made a gazpacho and went to the mall THREE times for the aircon on Tuesday.

AirconAircon.

Wednesday, someone had decided to paint this building with this yellow colour, it hurts my eyes so much. Back home there was some police drama as usual.

Johan and I decided it was time to have one of those summer nights when we stay up until the sunrise. A night on the balcony, talking and taking silly pictures. Was fantastic.

Went out for a walk before bedtime and to the right is one of the silly pictures, I kind of like it. Thursday was kind of slow as you can imagine, Johan went to a meeting and I edited some pictures. Later on we had a slow evening with friends at a local Kneipe.

Friday, Bite Club! Had this delicious takoyaki.

And bibimbap. Later on we headed over to Klunkerkranich to slowly sip on a couple of gin tonics, an event hosted by Kyrö, lovely guys. Walked all the way home through a hot Neukölln, Kreuzberg and finally Friedrichshain.

Saturday was a day for salad & tzatziki. In the evening, I took pictures for our friends’ café Tucker’s first birthday.

Woke up feeling extremely empty, took a walk around the neighbourhood trying to figure out what was going on in my mind. I am working so terribly hard on not feeling shame as soon as a person not bipolar is diminishing (that’s how I feel, I know they don’t mean it in a mean way) my reactions and emotions. The medicine has helped so far, almost no depressive thoughts, I don’t want to encourage people to take meds, but for me they have really helped. For other people running helps, yeah you know. We all have to find our way.

Went to Urban Spree for an exhibition and later on beer in the park, followed by hummus dinner before bed.

I’ve been thinking so much about friendship lately, what are your favourite features when it comes to your closest friends?

I’m a really goofy person so it’s important that my friends have the same weird sense of humor that I have. My closest friends make me laugh, they get me, they listen and they don’t judge, they’re trustworthy. They’re just the best, couldn’t live without them <3

God, that’s the exact friends everyone needs. I have just recently realised what kind of people I want in my life, guess the medicine has opened my eyes to read people faster. So happy for you! <3

Kram!
