Week 50 through the phone

We got a tree! Didn’t have one for years and Johan found a chubby stupid looking cute one. Put a potholder my grandmother on mum’s side made in it. The tree is still standing in this corner, I won’t get rid of it in the first place.

Pink light and Johan made goulasch.

Plopp over the bridges to buy yarn. The winter light was spectacular.

Rub it in.

One of very few things I’ve ever stolen in my life – a glow-in-the-dark star from my grandmother on dad’s side.

Got a feeling I was angry when I took these pictures.

Walking over the bridge to meet up with Allison for wool shopping again.

Had a coffee at Passenger and scream-laughed.

Walked home to work.

And the weekend came: Let’s meet for a Glühwein. Blowing Luftschlangen at Charley while he helped me work.

December was all about Wrist Worms (& party). Thank you one million times for your orders! Due to the pandemic and the holidays, deliveries might be delayed. One order took 2 weeks to travel INSIDE Berlin, so don’t worry yet if your pair hasn’t arrived by now. Talk soon xo

    Dear Sandra,

It’s very lovely to be able to catch up here. So good that you had a break of some sort!
Camilla has been with us for some weeks now and she is a total part of the family! It’s crazy cool!!
And the wrist worms are in use every single day. Yay!
I hope you are keeping well!

    Love,
    Joanne xxx

Winter light can be crazy good – I like that golden hour comes in the afternoon before it’s too late and I get tired and want to be at home! One of the most annoying things about my bit of suburbia, though, is that the houses are pretty boring and don’t have interesting windows to peep into! That picture of apartment windows reminded me of Virginia Woolfe’s essay called “Street Haunting”, about going out to ‘buy a pencil’ but really just to go out and peep into early evening windows, all lit up.

Oh it was my favourite pastime when I lived in the north as it was dark most of the time in Winter and so many people lived on the ground-floor. So nice to see how people live, see them cook, live home-life.
