Welcome to Sandra’s braindead week of doing paperwork LOL! Started the week well by taking a walk with Allison and Charley and then. When I thought I was finished with my stuff I all of a sudden proposed to Johan that I could do his as well. OK, I don’t have any deadlines at the moment, so.
Not so exciting, but tasty. Feta, fennel salad, cabbage salad & beans.
The caviar! The gravlax! Yes.
Yes & No. We never sanded the floor when we moved in so after 10 years they look extremely dirty. It’s OK, but I’m seriously thinking of painting the planks in an almost black colour.
Imagine a big party in the entrance and stairwell. If there were no neighbours obvs.
Went to FrischeParadies with Fiona to get bucatini. And boop, Charley! I never before hung out with friends as often as we do. The pandemic really brought us together and my personal strategy is to avoid being around too many people, so these guys are kind of my only social life since September. This second lockdown, we’re only allowed to host 1 person from another household, luckily dogs are excluded from this rule.
I joined them over the bridges to Kreuzberg, a pitstop at Passenger for one of my favourite coffees and then back home to do the paperwork.
Passed by this place which I’ve been meaning to try for quite some time. Can’t wait.
Johan, I’m happy if you pay me with half a pizza in exchange for the paperwork. Thank you. I can hardly remember what it’s like to eat at a restaurant.
On Friday, we went over to Alt-Mariendorf (let me tell you, it was NO FUN to take the train, it was packed, buskers were singing in the middle of the crowd (they were great, but spit flying all over the place)) . The mission was to take pictures for Sumolight. Really glad Germany decided it’s mandatory since sunday to wear FFP2 masks and similar at supermarkets and public transport. The FFP2 protects not only others, but yourself as well.
I asked Johan to get paid in food for the photoshoot, haha. Hope all these beautiful old Berliner Kneipen (pubs) survive, I can’t wait to go Kneipe hopping. One drink in each place.
Pelmeni and På Spåret (Swedish gameshow) on friday. Let’s not talk about the depressing salad, I don’t throw away food unless I really have to. Early morning stroll on saturday, then back home and I had one of the most productive days in a long time.
Went out for a walk. The message when coming home is very welcoming. Ey Yo… wanna fuck?! Yes
Tazza coffee and a potato-zucchini-bean soup topped with olive oil and Bulgarian goat cheese.
Working to build up a stash of Wrist Worms. In the evening I made a mushroom risotto.
Took a walk around the neighbourhood and passed by Ladenkino where it looked so inviting that I almost wanted to smash the window and get inside. A couple of days later I discovered it’s open for movie rental.
Going to get a haircut (why have lockdown hair when Johan is the one cutting my hair?), then spend the day at home alone (it’s been a while) and later off to Allison’s studio. I’ve made Swedish chokladbollar (the same recipe as since I can remember), bought Ostbågar – what a great dinner to bring.
Have a rock ‘n’ roll weekend!
