Week 8

Monday a week ago, it was almost summer. I walked to the Asian supermarket on monday morning to get my hands on some stuff for dan dan noodles.

Couldn’t get enough of the sun now that it’s not HOT like in the summer. Ugly sofa.

Had dinner at Salsabil, their falafel is SO good. Passing by Boxi, we heard friends screaming our names. Sat down for some beers in the warm evening. The bats were flying above us. It felt like being in Aristocats, I don’t know why. Johan said Aristobats.

Well yes, another morning walk. Today I’ve been trying to start scheduling my time better, I don’t know what I’m doing otherwise. Need routines. Need not to drink beers during the week and wake up feeling a bit hungover.

I walked around on wednesday being super angry because Johan and I were fighting the whole day.

We made peace and celebrated it with a burger. Do you like burgers? I only eat them a couple of times a year, it’s too greasy and I grew up eating them with cutlery so I have no idea how to eat a burger without getting the sauce on my hands. The next day I went to Eurogida in Wrangelstrasse.

Another beautiful day.

The walk home.

Old news and new ones; our subway doesn’t end at Alexanderplatz anymore, U5 goes all the way to Hauptbahnhof (central station) now. I hopped off at Alexanderplatz after Johan had sent me an email. Sandra, let’s do it like in the 20th century since I don’t have any phone – let’s meet at the fountain at Alexanderplatz at 7.15pm. So we did.

Had an early morning at Boxi’s farmers market to avoid the long queues to Passenger Coffee. It was a bit cooler and the Wrist Worms came in handy again.

I went to pick up Peps who was going to spend the night at ours. We met up with Charley and the gang, how amazing is this? All three of them looking at the fullmoon. We played with the ball and drank red wine. What a great evening.

Sunday was glamorous – someone had pooped in our staircase, right outside our neighbour’s toilet door. Ordered Indian food and watched high-quality TV. An old series called Berlin, Berlin which was aired in March 2002. Watching it in German with German subtitles, for Johan (& me, too, there are a few words and expressions new to me as well) to learn better German. Love to see Berlin from the time I visited the first time, the series is ridiculous but I like many of the characters.

This morning I started writing the morning pages I was talking about the other day. Haven’t been writing by hand for so many years and let me tell you my hand and arm are very sore. Also, I for some reason couldn’t get the dots over the letter ä (writing the pages in Swedish obviously), instead they ended up 90° like a “:“.

See you!

Hi, I’m new on this page but none of the images in the blog posts are showing up. There’s the frame and an icon indicating there should be an image but it’s not there. I don’t have an adblocker running or anything. Just wanted to let you know.

Thanks for letting me know. It’s strange cause I can see the images on both my computer & phone. Will investigate further 🙂 xx

It could be the browser. I couldn’t see the photos in Chrome for a while, so I switched to Firefox. Now they come in at both.

I love Julia Cameron´s book…but I´m finding it hard to begin with those morning pages 😛
Always having an excuse for not doing them, haha…I might as well begin soon.
Tell us later how your´re doing & feeling while writing them. 🙂

hows this for like it is the 90s: I went to europe in summer and planned on meeting my friend Nels, who was also travleing in Europe for a year, in Florence at the uffizi gallery on noon on Nov 1st. I realized on October 31st I was in Berlin…and took an overnight train to Florence AND Nels was waiting for me where he said he would be! I had not even gotten a post card from him (or I sending him one either) let alone email or text (which did not exist!). I love hearing about all your comings and goings, and dont go to bed mad at Johan. glad you had such nice weather
