Hi, guten Morgen! It’s still one day left of Easter weekend, Johan and I are doing home improvement – one million ideas for each room. Right now the focus is on the hallway although the brains connect to the mouths with words of changes in other rooms.
Started last week with making my hair a tone or two lighter. Planted some seeds, hopefully the balcony will be filled with basil, cayenne, hops etc this summer.
Bought 2 “spicy” bowls from 1990 Vegan Living at Boxhagener Platz. I had to contact them to ask if we got the right dish because it had no flavour at all, tasted less than the food we got as kids in school. Apparently it’s our own problem that we didn’t like the “taste” because it’s supposed to be served “with salt on the side like italian food”. Who’s carrying around salt in their bags to be able to eat their food? LOL, it’s fucking take away and salt wouldn’t have given it a green curry flavour anyway. They told us to order something else next time. What next time?
I’ll continue to go to Li.ke Vegan – when they say “spicy” on their menu, it really means spicy – never disappoints. Same at Hangmee, I highly recommend these two restaurants.
Rant over. I think this is the first time I write something negative about a restaurant online?
Frankfurter Tor is one of my favourite places in this city. Love to share pizza with Johan in the middle of the street overlooking the towers. The pharmacy gave me 2 chocolate bunnies for Easter. Cute. I don’t remember, but do the pharmacies in Sweden sell candy these days? They didn’t when I left and I was surprised when I saw a rack of candy at my local pharmacy (mostly salty licorice which is hard to find in regular shops).
We emptied the hallway to start painting during the weekend. Can’t wait to see the final result and fill the walls with all the stuff that has been waiting around the flat to find their spot for 10 years.
It’s not going to be a bright colour. Had mushroom pasta for lunch, one needs a lot of fuel painting a whole day.
Took a walk around the hood and found a newly opened burger place with a 5€ offer including fries and soda. I’m not a fries person but these were actually really good (we both eat ketchup & mayo with the fries, apparently that’s weird in some countries?). The cheeseburger was average.
Will continue the painting this week, would you like to see the result in a fews weeks?
