A person has moved in with us, her name is Pia and she’ll be 8 this fall. She’s super social, super cuddly, super curious and acts a bit like a dog. When living in Gothenburg, our neighbour Lisa often came to visit and I never thought I would meet a cat like her ever again. Pia settled in very quickly and has presented herself as a very well behaved lady, wanting to play a lot and taking up the biggest part of our tiny bed.
How come Pia? Just look:
A guy I know posted about his friend having to leave Pia at the animal shelter in case no one took her. Pia came from a home where she lived with a big dog (quite similar to Peps) and her facial expression was just too funny. From this one picture, I decided she had to move to our place (well, it had to be OK with Johan obvs). The living with a dog was a very important factor, she hasn’t yet met Peps – I really hope they’ll get along (well, at least can be in the same flat).
OK, so wondering: Is anyone still here? Or is instagram enough these days? Since I’m not reading any blogs I kind of wonder why I’d run one myself ifyouknowwhatImean.

Instagram is increasingly reel-focused and its algorithms shows me a very strange timeline of picture posts ….as in I am missing some people’s static pictures. So odd and frustrating, so I am going to IG less and less.

Reading a blog with pictures is better than a long caption on an instagram post. I have to say that I would read your blogs because I like the content you post on insta. I just appreciate the photos and format of the blog. I had been wondering just last week how you were and so glad to see your newest post pop up in my feed reader. Maybe you can just keep posting when you want and in the forum of your choice -think more about your needs than us followers- because we are there like the sun shining on your walks wherever you go (not in the creepy “I see you” but friendly way of course. :)).

I stopped my Instagram ages ago, it’s just too toxic and time consuming and too full of pretend perfect lives… I still like blogs, the few that are around. You can read them at your leisure while having a cup of coffee, instead of doomscrolling. And Pia is beautiful, like a perfect cat for a kind witch. Glad Elivs is still around too. Oh – happy spring!

They were in every home I had in London and are now very happy here in Australia 🙂 I stopped using social media earlier this year because it has proved to be such a drain on my time, energy and self-worth.
