Frankfurter Allee is one of Berlin’s oldest stre

Frankfurter Allee is one of Berlin’s oldest streets. It extends Karl-Marx-Allee from Frankfurter Tor in the Frankfurt (an der Oder) direction. The buildings you see in these pictures were build in the middle of the 1950s and are called Stalinbauten (Karl-Marx-Allee was called Stalinallee back then). The history of this city is overwhelming. Thank you, Berlin, for letting me live here.

The last picture belongs to an older building at Warschauer Strasse though.

This photo might not be the most beautiful you have seen. To me it describes going around the city to discover new places.

Those are the steps to Frankfurter Tor, U5 line. I go down there to smell the subway, it always gives me great memories, and the scent makes me excited for when it’s possible to discover new places around the city again. Of course I can discover places during the lockdown, but I try not to take the public transport if it’s not urgent, like work.

My favourite station is the next one east direction; Samariterstrasse. It’s where we used to stay when visiting between 2005-2010.

Berliners (& Berlin lovers) - which bar is your favourite in the city?

Shot this picture tonight through the window of Ladenkino. It captures Berlin bars pretty well (this place is also a cinema).

I like Kirk on Skalitzer Strasse a lot, Fitchers Vogel on Warschauer Strasse is a good one, too. One of my favourites, [f.u.c.] Bar, has closed.

And all those amazing Berliner Kneipen (pubs) that I almost always prefer. Like 95% of the time. Prost!
