Asparagus season

Germans are crazy about asparagus. When you go to the markets now the vegetable stands have huge signs saying SPARGEL. I prefer the green ones, the Germans love the white ones. Luckily they produce amazing green asparagus too.

This is what we had for dinner tonight. Just random stuff put together, the way we both like it. I will try to list the things:

Bean/pea salad (some canned green beans + chickpeas from the supermarket, red onion, chili flakes, olive oil, white wine vinegar, salt & pepper.

Tzatziki (standard stuff).

Feta cheese mixed with cottage cheese, lot of red hot sauce, oregano, olive oil, salt & pepper.

Green asparagus fried for a few minutes in salted butter + extra salt.

Cucumber & appenzeller cheese.

Been eating variations of this lately, love to prepare thing like the bean/pea salad, the feta mix & tzatziki so I can throw together plates like this. It tastes great and it does so well to oneself.
