Yesterday, I decided it was time to visit Oranienburg again, was there with Johan 9 years ago. It’s 33 kilometers away from my home, would take 7.5 hours to walk there. I took the S-Bahn.
Look at that pretty abandoned house.
As you will see, Oranienburg is not very colourful. Which I like, many buildings for me to point my phone camera at. I haven’t edited the pictures, I more and more love unedited pictures in this glossy internet world.
I was afraid everything would have been getting polished during the 9 years I hadn’t been there.
The letters. The letters.
I couldn’t find the restaurant where we had the worst chinese food ever. Maybe no one else like their food either.
A revisit here.
So rundown and so weird to see the front of the building because…
…it looks so different.
Went into the church. The keyhole!
There is a castle in Oranienburg, there are so many castles in this country. Around 25 000.
All of a sudden it felt like I was in Paris.
One knows one is in a small town when the buses don’t pick one up very often.
But still they call it city.
That little building, so romantic.
I really enjoyed my afternoon, slurped a sundae at the Golden Seagull before heading back to Bierhof Rüdersdorf to enjoy a beer and listen to the Berghain Garten partying. It felt like back in the 2010s.
Talk soon xo
